“I’d also changed job roles which meant I needed more in-depth knowledge in the subjects covered."

The admin supervisor added:

"My job now involves despatching products worldwide and dealing with declarations, so I learned a lot from the course. I’ve booked onto the next course and I am sure it will help me gain more knowledge to help further with my job responsibilities.”

“The course was really interactive and informative and I learned
a lot from it."
"With Brexit and all the changes in legislation that is expected to come with it, we felt we needed some help to deal with what might lie ahead, and the course did that perfectly"

Nicola, who has worked for Surface Print for nine years, said she found the Incoterms 2010 Rules and Dealing with Agents and Distributors modules the most beneficial. The Foundation Award covers topics central to supporting businesses’ export or import drives. The 12-month course deals with eight key subjects including exporting and importing basics, practical importing and exporting, Incoterms 2010 Rules and overseas payments.

Lucy Ambrose realised her employers were using the incorrect incoterms codes on the paperwork after starting the course.

Lucy, who works for Carlisle IT, in Blackburn, said:

"We needed a bit more clarity as to what we were doing. There was quite a lot of uncertainty about the subjects which were covered on the course and going on it has really helped."

Lucy, a key account advisor, added:

"The course was really interactive and informative and I learned a lot from it. The information booklets we received have also been invaluable.”
